Privacy Policy

1. Commitment to User Privacy

At Prairie Pixel Apps (prairiepixelapps.dev), privacy is not an afterthought — it is our core engineering foundation. Our mobile applications are engineered to process data locally on your device whenever possible. We do not sell, rent, or monetize personal user data.

2. Data Collection & Analytics

Our iOS applications do not use cross-app tracking identifiers (IDFA) for advertising profiling, and we never build or sell behavioral user profiles. Advertising, where shown, is served by Google AdMob under the disclosures at prairiepixelapps.dev/app-ads.txt. Anonymous crash diagnostics may be collected via Apple's standard opt-in developer framework, and only when you have explicitly opted in on your device.

3. Local Storage & iCloud Syncing

Any data you create within Prairie Pixel Apps — such as notes, timers, or custom habits — remains stored locally on your device or within your personal, encrypted Apple iCloud container. We have no access to your iCloud data.

4. Support Inquiries & Your Rights

When you contact us for technical support, your email address and message content are used exclusively to resolve your inquiry. You may request deletion of support correspondence at any time by writing to orrin.voldeng@prairiepixelapps.com.

5. Advertising & Google AdMob Data Use

Our applications display advertising served by Google AdMob. To deliver, personalize (where permitted), and measure ads, AdMob may process device signals such as your IP address, approximate (coarse) location, ad interaction data, and — only where you explicitly grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt — your device's advertising identifier (IDFA).

Where required, our apps request your permission before any personalized advertising. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and you can reset your advertising identifier in your device settings.

Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and Google's partner-site data-use terms (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). Prairie Pixel Apps does not receive or store your advertising profile, and we never combine ad data with the content you create in our apps.

In accordance with the IAB app-ads.txt standard, our authorized advertising sellers are declared at prairiepixelapps.dev/app-ads.txt.

6. The Casebook — App-Specific Details

Accounts. The Casebook offers Sign in with Apple or email sign-in so your casebook — your solved cases and service record — stays with you across devices. We store only the identity details you share at sign-in (such as your name or email, or Apple's private relay address) and the detective name you choose.

AI-written cases. Every case is generated on demand by an AI system. To write your case, the app sends your chosen setting, difficulty, and any custom twist you type to our service. Please do not include personal information about yourself or others in custom twists. Case content is fictional and generated fresh for you.

Your detective partner. When you talk with Inspector Vane, your conversation and your current logic-board state are processed so hints match how far you've actually worked out. The conversation is remembered within the case so your partner knows where you're stuck.

Leaderboard. Your chosen detective name and the number of cases you've solved at each difficulty may be shown on the leaderboard to other players. Your real name and email are never displayed.

Connectivity. An internet connection is required to open new cases and talk with your partner. Solved cases remain readable offline.

Your choices. You may request a copy or deletion of your Casebook account and game data at any time via orrin.voldeng@prairiepixelapps.com.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our applications evolve. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Questions about this policy can be sent to orrin.voldeng@prairiepixelapps.com.
